The Lalmonirhat Journalists Forum, Dhaka (LJFD), an organisation of journalists from Lalmonirhat district working in Dhaka, has held a seasonal fruit festival.

The festival was held on Saturday evening (17 June) at the office of the TV Camera Journalists Association (TCA) in Banglamotor in the capital.

The festival featured a range of fruit including mango, jamun (black plum), jackfruit, pineapple, dragon fruit, guava and banana.

The event was presided over by LJFD president Shamsul Haque Basunia and conducted by general secretary Nirmal Kumar Barman. Members Abu Sayeed, Mizanur Rahman, Mahmudur Rahman, Md Shahin, Saheduzzaman Sakib and Omar Faruk were present.

There was also a discussion at the event on how the Lalmonirhat journalists' forum can play an effective role in the district's development and in solving its problems.
