The Forest Department has rescued another 10-foot python in Koyra, Khulna, and later released it into the Sundarbans. The snake was rescued from Maheshwaripur village in the upazila at around 7am on Sunday, 10 November.

Md Farukul Islam, officer in charge of the Koyra forest patrol post, said the rescued python was released into the Sundarbans in the presence of local public representatives, CPG members and VTRT members.

Earlier, on 6 November, Forest Department staff rescued a python from the ground of the Koyra crematorium temple. That snake was also released into the Sundarbans.
