A farmer in South Korea has built a profitable cattle farm under smart farm management. He controls the farm through technology while sitting in an office. Modern technology has made his work easier and raised production many times over, bringing him extra profit.

Kim set up the farm in Thombok village in Chungnam Province four years ago. Two years ago he brought it under smart technology. Chips fitted to each cow's neck or ear send every kind of information about the animal's body and surroundings to Kim's mobile phone automatically over the internet.

The same technology controls the farm's light and ventilation and even the nutritional value of the cattle feed. Along with detailed information on the physical condition of each cow, everything up to milking is managed through technology.

The investment is somewhat higher, Kim's experience shows, but the returns are full.
