A tree-planting programme will be held in all districts tomorrow, Saturday, in memory of the martyrs of the July mass uprising. Each district plans to plant as many trees as it has martyrs. The event is part of the July Punarjagaran programme.

This was announced in a Press Information Department handout on Friday (18 July).

To mark 19 July, the Day of Genocide and Student-People Resistance, a music video will be shared on social media with the theme song "Kato Biplobi Bondhur Rokte Ranga". Under the programme, part five of the documentary "Ekti Shahid Paribarer Sakkhya" will be broadcast on the day, and a video of a July fighter's memories will be shared.

The programme will be promoted on the Facebook pages, YouTube channels and other social media of all ministries and divisions. The video's URL will be sent to all mobile phone subscribers. A rally in memory of the martyrs will also be held in Savar, Dhaka.

Films about July, including "Enforced Disappearance", "Abrar Fahad" and "Aynaghar Stories", will be screened at important places across the country on the day.
