A 65-year-old man, Mostafa Kamal, died after falling from a tree while picking mangoes in Haripur, Thakurgaon.

The accident happened at around 11am on Thursday (15 June) in a mango orchard on the east side of Haripur Government Pilot High School in the upazila.

Mostafa Kamal was the son of the late Nazir of Ambari village in Haripur union.

Sub-inspector (SI) Din Mohammad of Haripur police station confirmed the incident.

He said Mostafa Kamal fell from the tree while picking mangoes. Local people rescued him and took him to the upazila health complex, where the doctor on duty declared him dead. An unnatural death case has been filed with the police station.
