Farmers are moving ahead fast in growing high-value fruits and crops. The more aware a farmer is of seasonal production and marketing, the more successful they become. Many young people, farmers and entrepreneurs are now investing in new, high-value crops with courage, care and dedication.

They are driving agriculture forward by growing diverse crops, and the media act as a major catalyst: one person's success inspires others. In BK Bari Seedpara in Gazipur Sadar, many such examples have emerged in recent years. Inspired by local youth Ziaul Haque Ripon's success with papaya, many have set up farms.

Shafiqul Islam has built this 24-bigha integrated farm growing papaya, banana, sweet pumpkin, cauliflower, cabbage and other crops. Before building it, he was simply a farm labourer.
