Fruits to Eat for Healthy Skin

A few vitamin C-rich fruits in the daily diet can help keep skin bright and youthful.

There is no substitute for eating a variety of fruits for good health, and doctors themselves advise eating fruit regularly. Fruit makes up for shortages of various vitamins in the body and also provides energy.

Some fruits also play an effective role in skin care. We can keep certain fruits in our daily diet to maintain the skin's brightness and youthfulness.

We know that foods and fruits rich in vitamin C help boost immunity. Vitamin C also increases collagen production in the skin, helping to enhance our looks.

Three fruits

So every day we should eat some foods and fruits rich in vitamin C, which will protect our health and enhance our beauty. The fruits are:

  • Pineapple: pineapple is rich in vitamin C, which brightens the skin. It also contains vitamins A and K, which reduce blemishes and keep the skin free of acne.
  • Orange: oranges help a great deal in keeping skin healthy. Eating an orange every day lowers the risk of acne, and oranges also help keep the skin moisturised.
  • Apple: apples are very good for the body. Besides vitamins A and C, they contain plenty of antioxidants, which help protect the skin from free radicals. Apples are unrivalled for keeping skin youthful.
