Fresh LP Gas has celebrated World LPG Day 2026, renewing its pledge to bring safe, reliable and clean fuel to people across the country.
To mark the day, the company organised a tree-planting programme at the head office of Meghna Group of Industries (MGI) on Sunday (7 June). MGI director Tanvir Mostafa opened the programme.
The event highlighted the company's commitment to a sustainable environment and the close link between clean energy and a green environment. Fresh LP Gas, a member of the World Liquid Gas Association and a concern of MGI, serves millions of customers in Bangladesh through about 50 lakh cylinders.
Clean fuel and a green future
Speaking at the event, Tanvir Mostafa said World LPG Day reminds us how important clean fuel is for improving people's lives and protecting the environment. As a responsible company, he said, Fresh LP Gas is expanding the use of safe and reliable LPG while taking various initiatives to build a green and sustainable future.
This year the day was observed worldwide under the theme "Spread the benefits of LPG", chosen to highlight LPG's important role in increasing the use of clean fuel, ensuring better health and building a more sustainable future for the next generation.
Fresh LP Gas has also launched a nationwide tree-planting programme for the day. Trees are being planted at the company's offices, its four LPG plants and through more than 250 distributors. Distributors are planting trees around their businesses, and an online campaign is running to involve the public.
The company has called on everyone to plant trees on balconies, rooftops or any suitable place and share photos or videos on Fresh LP Gas's social media pages. Special gifts await selected participants.
Also present were Fresh LPG chief marketing officer Abu Sayeed Raja; MGI chief human resources officer Atik Uz Zaman Khan; executive director (admin) Syed Toufiq Uddin Ahmed (PPM, ndc); senior GM (audit) Sajjad Hossain (FCMA); and senior deputy GM (HR) Md Hossain Mahmud.
