FAO to Give $4 Million for Mango Storage Warehouses

The UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) will give Bangladesh $4 million to build warehouses for storing mangoes, the chief adviser's press secretary said.

The UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) will give Bangladesh $4 million to build warehouses for storing mangoes, said Shafiqul Alam, press secretary to the chief adviser.

He gave the information at a press briefing at the Foreign Service Academy on Bailey Road in the capital on Thursday, 13 March.

Shafiqul Alam said there is strong demand for mangoes abroad, but without proper storage their quality cannot be maintained. That is why the FAO will give Bangladesh $4 million to build warehouses.
