A tree-planting programme will be held at every educational institution in the country to mark the anniversary of the July mass uprising. To that end, the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) has asked institutions for the number of saplings they need, along with other information. The information must be sent in a set format to the directorate's Monitoring and Evaluation Wing within five days.

On Tuesday, 15 July, the directorate sent a letter to this effect to all upazila and thana secondary education officers in the country.

The letter said that, as a memorial of the July Mass Uprising Anniversary 2025, information in the specified format for tree planting at all secondary schools, colleges, madrasas and technical institutions under the education ministry must be sent, in hard copy and soft copy, to the director of the DSHE's Monitoring and Evaluation Wing.

The information must be sent within five working days of the date of the letter. The soft copy must be sent by email.

The form asks for the name of the institution, its EIIN number, its total land area, the area suitable for planting (in square feet) and the number of saplings needed.
