The green roof keeps their lives in rhythm and works as a special source of strength.

For eminent dental surgeon Professor Shamsul Alam and Professor Hosne Ara Mery, the need and value of rooftop farming are the same. They moved into this house two decades ago and have given time to the roof bit by bit ever since. They say they used to come to the roof out of an urge to do something; now the farm itself draws them there.

Love of farming has a special power that spreads quickly from person to person, as it has in this family. Despite a busy practice, Shamsul Alam never forgets to give time to the rooftop farm.
