Dhaka is a city of concrete, dust and noise. Where can children find the smell of soil? Surprisingly, they have found it on roofs, balconies and school grounds, and a handful of city children are newly connecting with farming.

Sharaban Tahura, a third-grade student in Mirpur, has decorated her family's balcony with greenery and made it her own space. Her simple, sweet words are charming.

While many children today are absorbed in gadgets, Tahura is learning the language of plants in the nature she has created. Her parents are very happy with her work.
