The deer meat seized on the Chittagong University (CU) campus has been buried in the ground.

It was buried in a pit dug on the university campus on Thursday afternoon; the report dates this as 30 October. University proctor Dr Rabiul Hasan Bhuiyan confirmed the matter to Jago News.

He said forest department officials came from the city, mixed the meat with sand and soil and buried it.

Earlier, on Thursday (30 September), at around 2.45pm, about 15kg of deer meat was seized in the university's Jarultola area. No one has been detained so far.
