In the Lakeview area of Chattogram, the co-owners of a residential building have come together to create a lovely rooftop farm, where a collection of local and foreign flowers has grown.

Five years ago, the building was put up by several doctors of Chattogram Medical College and other like-minded professionals. The roof seems to be the heart of the building, and this varied flower collection tells an unusual rooftop farming story.

The organisers say enjoying the flowers' scent is not the main aim. Dr Shakil Ahmed, Mostafizur Rahman and others who have helped enrich the collection want to present the stories of local and foreign flowers to people. The rooftop farm is a proud address for everyone in the building.

Meanwhile, at the end of summer, Syed Zaki Hossain and Rahat Hossain, a couple living on Long Island, New York, are busy with yard farming. Bangladeshi fruit and crops surround their large house.
