A cat was stuck for three days on the third-floor ledge of a building in Chattogram city's Chandgaon residential area. When someone noticed, they called the fire service, whose staff arrived with a vehicle and equipment and freed it.

The fire service rescued the cat around 10.30am on Tuesday (10 January). Bahar Uddin, senior station officer at Kalurghat fire station, told Jagonews the cat had been stuck on Mahfuza Bhaban, house 5, road 1, Block A of the Chandgaon residential area.

Ashraf Hossain, who lives in the building next to house 5, told Jagonews: "For three days we saw the cat stuck on the third-floor ledge of Mahfuza Bhaban. Most likely it got stuck trying to jump from one building to another. I gave it food for two days. Then in the morning my nephew called the fire service, and fire service members came and rescued it."

Bahar Uddin said a man named Kutub Uddin phoned the fire service office to say a cat was stuck on the third-floor window ledge of the building next to theirs. "We went to the scene at once and rescued the cat with the help of a jute sack."
