A young man named Dipu Mia, 38, has died after falling from a tree while picking mangoes in Bhairab, Kishoreganj.

The accident happened at around 3pm on 10 May in the Jagannathpur Beni Bazar area of the municipal town.

Dipu Mia was the son of Siraf Mia of the Noaz Bepari household in the Jagannathpur area of the municipal town.

Local sources said Dipu Mia climbed a tree next to his house to pick mangoes around midday. After picking a few mangoes, he fell to the ground while moving from one branch to another, and died on the spot.

Bhairab police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Maksudul Alam confirmed the incident.
