Temperatures may rise across the country over the next three days, but meteorologists also say dense fog may cover the country from midnight until noon.

The regular weather forecast issued on the evening of 20 January said moderate to dense fog may fall across the country from midnight to morning from Monday to Wednesday, and in places it may last until noon. The agency said the dense fog may temporarily disrupt air travel, inland river transport and road communications.

Meteorologist Hafizur Rahman told Jagonews24 that despite the fog, night and day temperatures may rise slightly across the country, and the fog may clear as the sun comes up. On Monday the cold from the chilly wind was a little sharper, and by comparison it may be somewhat less cold on Tuesday.

That day the country's lowest temperature, 9.6 degrees Celsius, was recorded in Chuadanga, and the highest, 30.5 degrees Celsius, in Teknaf.
