Five thousand saplings of various trees have been distributed among students of St Philip's High School and College in Dinajpur.
The saplings were handed out to students at the school on the morning of 12 September, at the initiative of Apon Ghar Foundation.
Apon Ghar Foundation has been distributing saplings for several years to help keep the environment in balance. This year's event at St Philip's High School and College was part of that effort.
Before the distribution, Brother Kajal Linus Costa, principal of St Philip's High School and College, and Saiful Alam, founder and chairman of Apon Ghar Foundation, spoke.
Also present were the foundation's secretary Sohel Rana, members Taimur Ali, Samsul Alam, Ferdous Salehin, Kawsar Ali, Sejanur Alam Shawon, Belal and Anwar Rasel, and teachers.
