'Tree Plantation Campaign 2023' was observed at the 20 Ansar Battalion headquarters in Manikchhari, Khagrachhari. On Monday (18 June), Afzal Hossain, director of the 20 Ansar, opened the day-long programme by planting several saplings in the grounds of his residence at Tintahari in the upazila.

The programme was held as part of implementing the countrywide National Tree Plantation Campaign and Tree Fair 2023, on the instructions of Major General AKM Aminul Haque, Director General of Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party.

The battalion commander spoke on the importance and need of tree planting. Responding to the Prime Minister's call, he also urged all members of the battalion to play an effective role in planting trees.

Assistant Director Tanzina Hossain Trina, Assistant Director Md Rubel Hossain, company commanders, officers and staff at various levels, and battalion members took part in the programme.
