He arrived as a JICA volunteer in 1985 and began with fish-farming extension at BARD in Cumilla; after retiring as secretary general of Shapla Neer he founded Share The Planet Association, which now runs 14 climate-resilient farming initiatives across nine haor and south-western districts.
