HealthBlocking theatre noise during surgery cut post-operative nausea in Chinese trial
In a trial of 192 patients at the First Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University, 35 per cent of those who wore noise-blocking ear defenders during surgery had nausea or vomiting afterwards, against 52 per cent of those who did not. The results are preliminary.
