The government has formed a four-member committee to complete recruitment to vacant sub-assistant agriculture officer posts quickly. The state minister of the Ministry of Public Administration has been made its convener.

The Cabinet Division issued a notification to this effect on 6 September. The other members are the Cabinet Secretary, the Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister's Office and the Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration.

The committee will take the steps needed to speed up recruitment to the vacant posts. For convenience of work it may co-opt new members if needed and will hold meetings as required. The notification also said the Ministry of Public Administration will provide secretarial support to the committee.
