River police have recovered the antlers of four hunted deer and a locally made gun in Shyamnagar, Satkhira.

They were found in a drain at Harinagar in Munshiganj union, next to the Sundarbans, at about 7pm on Monday, 10 April.

Local bicycle mechanic Anichhur Rahman told Jago News that he had gone beside the drain in the evening to relieve himself. He saw something like deer antlers in a sack in the drain and informed the local river police, whose members then came and recovered the items.

River police Sub-Inspector (SI) Tarek Biswas told Jago News that four pairs of deer antlers and a single-barrel gun had been recovered, abandoned. The antlers will be handed over to the Forest Department, he said.
