Chhatra League leaders and activists have cut the paddy of three farmers in the Baharpur Degree College area of Baliakandi upazila in Rajbari and brought it home for them.

From 10am to 3pm on Thursday (27 April), they harvested paddy on 88 decimals of land belonging to farmers Shukur Ali, Bastar Sheikh and Daud Sheikh and carried it to their homes.

The work was led by Rajbari district Chhatra League president Shahin Sheikh. Those present included Baliakandi upazila Chhatra League general secretary Saiful Islam, vice-president Nasru Mia, organising secretaries Shahed Siddique and Rana Sheikh, former upazila Chhatra League president Anisur Rahman (Anis) and other upazila Chhatra League activists.

Rajbari district Chhatra League president Shahin Sheikh said Chhatra League activists had stood by helpless farmers on the instruction of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, and that this work would continue.
