The Wildlife Service Foundation has rescued a python in Sreemangal, Moulvibazar. The snake was rescued from the Bharaura tea estate in the upazila on Thursday (18 May) night.
Swapan Deb Sajal, director of the Service Foundation, said local people saw a python on the road next to the temple of the Bharaura tea estate at around 8pm. They informed the Wildlife Service Foundation, which then rescued the snake.
Shyamal Kumar Mitra, assistant conservator of forests at Sreemangal's Wildlife Management and Nature Conservation Division, said the snake is being kept at their office and will later be released in Lawachara National Park.
