Pran-RFL Public School has held tree-planting programmes in memory of those martyred in the anti-discrimination student movement.

The programmes took place at the Pran-RFL Public School in Shayestaganj, Habiganj, on 24 September, and at the Pran-RFL Public School in Ghorashal, Narsingdi, on 19 September.

They included an awareness rally, tree planting and the distribution of saplings of various kinds among students. A debate competition was also held on the need for and importance of tree planting in protecting the environment.

Nurul Afsar, head of corporate brand at Pran-RFL Group, said: "As part of our social responsibility, we regularly hold tree-planting programmes to protect the environment at the group's facilities and in various places around the country. But this year's programme is a little different. Many students and members of the public were recently martyred in the anti-discrimination student movement, and this initiative is in their memory. We will continue programmes like this in future."

Local administration officials, the principals of the Pran-RFL Public Schools and local dignitaries attended the programmes.
