If mango growers in Chapainawabganj want to send mangoes to Indonesia, the country's embassy will give them full support. It will also help with mango processing.

Indonesia's ambassador, Arif Soyuku, said this on Tuesday (1 July) afternoon while visiting Chapai Agro Industries at Maharajpur in Chapainawabganj.

He said Chapainawabganj's mangoes are renowned around the world, so Indonesia wants to work with mangoes from the area. But the matter depends on the traders. If they want to send mangoes to Indonesia, the embassy will provide every kind of support.

The two sides discussed Chapai Agro's ongoing projects and future plans. Both expressed optimism about the many uses of mangoes and the bright prospects for mango exports.

The ambassador later visited several mango orchards in the district's Shibganj upazila.

He was accompanied by Robbi Ferli Harkha, third secretary at the Indonesian embassy in Dhaka; Jesmin Akter, chairman of Chapai Agro Industries and a woman entrepreneur; and Md Shafikul Islam, its managing director and an industrial entrepreneur.
