From the photographs Prothom Alo's photographers took around the country on 24 October, here in our own words are the ones of homestead vegetables, a river char and livestock.

At Kanthalbaria in Raiganj, Sirajganj, bottle gourd flowers have opened on the trellis in a home's yard (photo: Sajedul Alam). In the same upazila, at Boalia char, the red glow of the setting sun spread across the water on 23 October (photo: Sajedul Alam).

At Chobbishhazari in Rangpur, a man takes his cattle out to graze in the morning (photo: Moinul Islam).

The day's pictures of a road blockade, a bus accident, a mobile barber, a woman reading the paper, an elephant at a fair and a religious festival are not included here.
