Dhanmondi Thana Jubo Dal has taken up a tree planting programme in Dhanmondi to mark National Revolution and Solidarity Day.

The programme was inaugurated on Saturday, 9 November, by planting saplings on the lakeside next to Rabindra Sarobar in Dhanmondi.

BNP international affairs secretary Barrister Nasir Uddin Ahmed Ashim said: "We ourselves must play a role in making Dhanmondi liveable and building a healthy generation in Dhanmondi. There is no alternative to planting trees in tackling climate change. Along with planting, proper care and protection of trees are essential. At a time when a large section of young people is going astray, the leaders and activists of Dhanmondi Thana Jubo Dal are doing good work, which truly deserves praise."

Leaders and activists of various BNP associate and affiliated organisations attended. Leaflets on the 31-point plan for repairing the state structure, presented by BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman, were distributed.
