EnvironmentStraw returned as pellets cut nitrous oxide from salty soils by over 40%
A Shandong Agricultural University study found that pelletised straw reduced nitrous oxide emissions from nitrogen-fertilised saline-alkali soil by 43 to 46 percent, more than crushed straw, manure compost or biochar.
