Writing in Ajker Patrika, Faria Ejaz cites icddr,b estimates of 2,500 to 3,000 child deaths from rotavirus a year; 132 countries give the vaccine nationally, but in Bangladesh a dose costs Tk 2,993 privately and the state does not provide it.
