At the North Badda and Middle Badda kitchen markets in Dhaka, hilsa weighing 800 to 900 grams sold at Tk 1,500 a kilogram on Friday and fish of a kilogram or more at Tk 2,200. Sellers say many shoppers ask the price and leave without buying.
