Many homes are troubled by spiders, which spin webs and nest in corners of the house. Did you know that spiders come in greater numbers when a house is dirty?

From one or two, the number of spiders keeps growing. If your home has a spider problem, follow these rules:

• Remove a spider as soon as you see it anywhere in the house, because the numbers start growing from just one.
• Dust the corners of the house thoroughly at least once a week. Accumulated dirt makes it easier for spiders to spin webs.
• When you see spiders, mix lemon juice in water, put it in a bottle and spray it on their webs.
• You can also drive spiders away by spraying water mixed with turmeric. Do this at least once a week and spiders will not come near you.
• Another way is to mix vinegar with water and spray it in every nook and corner. Spiders cannot bear the acetic acid in vinegar.
• Paint the walls once a year. Spiders cannot nest on freshly painted walls.
• On rainy days the house becomes damp, and spiders can nest indoors when the walls are wet.
