It is a Brahman bull weighing an estimated 30 maunds. Because of a moon-shaped mark on its forehead, its owner has fondly named it 'Kala Chan'. The asking price is Tk 12 lakh.

Lovlu, a young man from the Port Link area of Bhatiary union in Sitakunda upazila, Chattogram, has been raising the bull for four years and three months.

Lovlu said he used to look after the bull alongside his job, with his wife caring for it in his absence. But the bigger the bull grew, the harder it became to control, and he eventually left his job to look after it. It now costs Tk 700-800 a day to keep.

"Since I left my job, it has been hard to meet the household's daily needs. That is why I kept two cows and sold two buffaloes and two other cattle," he said. "If I can sell the bull at a fair price, I will set up a cattle farm."

Local youth Saiful Islam said the bull was very handsome. "As far as I know, it is the biggest animal in Sitakunda," he said.

Another local, Saimur, said: "Lovlu takes more care of the bull than of his own family. If he can sell it at a fair price, he wants to start a farm. He says he will sell it if he gets Tk 12 lakh."
