The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has detained two drug dealers with 1,100 bottles of Phensedyl at a poultry farm in Rupganj, Narayanganj.

This was disclosed in a press release signed by Md Rizwan Sayeed Ziku, assistant superintendent of police at RAB-11, on the afternoon of 9 July.

The two were detained earlier that morning at Haji Yakub Ali's abandoned poultry farm in the Kandirpara area of Machhimpur in the upazila.

They are Md Fahim (24), son of Faiz Uddin of Rupganj, and Emdadul Haque (28), son of Lokman Hakim of the same police station area.

In the release, RAB said the detainees brought Phensedyl from various places and sold it in Narayanganj and surrounding areas. Initial investigation found they were professional drug dealers.

RAB said a case had been filed against them and they had been handed over to Rupganj police station.
