Two unusually large bulls, 'Donald Trump' and 'Lalu', have been prepared on a farm in Pirojpur to liven up the Eid-ul-Azha market.

Like their names, their behaviour and presence are catching everyone's eye. The farm owner jokingly named one of them 'Donald Trump' because of its hairstyle and the shape of its eyes.

On a visit to the farm of Md Zulfikar Khan, a resident of the Kadamtala area in Pirojpur Sadar upazila, the two bulls were found to have attracted wide local interest. People come from far and near every day to see them.

Farm workers said that although 'Trump' is calm by nature, it can suddenly lose its temper. It does not easily let strangers near, and four to five people are needed to control it. It is bathed two to three times a day for relief from the heat. 'Lalu' is also restless, so the caretakers struggle to manage the pair.

Caretaker Al Amin said: "We look after the two bulls like members of the family. They are bathed regularly, kept under fans and given natural feed. No fattening drugs or injections have been used."

Farm owner Md Zulfikar Khan said he had raised both bulls entirely by natural methods since they were young, feeding them home-grown grass, straw, bran and grain-based feed. With Eid approaching, many buyers are already visiting the farm.

He said 'Donald Trump' and 'Lalu' each weigh about 10 to 12 maunds, and around Tk 6 to 8 lakh is being asked for the two. He will sell if he gets a suitable price.

The two bulls have already become a talking point at Pirojpur's cattle markets ahead of Eid, and local people expect 'Trump' and 'Lalu' to be among the main attractions of the district's sacrificial animal market this year.

Earlier, an unusual pink buffalo was seen at Rabeya Agro Farm in the Paikpara area of Narayanganj town. The three-and-a-half-year-old albino buffalo has relatively long hair on its head, and the farm named it 'Donald Trump'. With its regal gait, the buffalo became a talking point across the country.
