Late-autumn fields, rivers and hills fill Prothom Alo's photo glimpse of 31 October. These are the pictures from it that show farming, nature and village life.
On the Padma near Sureshwar Bazar in Naria, Shariatpur, fishers' nets are bringing in shoals of pangas; the picture was taken on 30 October (photo: Satyajit Ghosh). At Khalil Mollar Dangi in North Channel, Faridpur, a woman spreads parboiled aus paddy to dry in her yard (photo: Alimuzzaman).
At Shimujechhara in Rangamati, a hill woman walks to work along the ridge of a paddy field, and in Lumbini village fruit is ripening at the tip of a small fig tree (photos: Supriyo Chakma).
At Mostafar Mor in Khulna a man cycles home with grass for his cattle, while a black drongo perches on the post of a land signboard nearby (photos: Saddam Hossain).
Beside a road at Ranatitha in Raiganj, Sirajganj, kansira (dholpata) flowers are in bloom (photo: Sajedul Alam). In a pond at Zahurulnagar, Bogura, water spinach is flowering and a white egret wanders through it looking for food (photo: Soel Rana).
