The bull weighs about 950kg, and because he turns somersaults he has been named "Jayed Khan". The red Sahiwal bull's asking price is Tk 12 lakh, and his owner has announced that a goat will be given free with him. There is room to bring the price down by bargaining, and free home delivery on Chand Raat is also offered.

Ramzan Ali Bachchu and Anwar Hossain have been raising "Jayed Khan" for three years. He was prepared at Nirob Agro Farm in Dakshin Paragalpur village of Mirsarai upazila in Chattogram.

Ramzan Ali Bachchu said: "The bull was fattened entirely naturally on wheat, maize, green grass and fruit. 'Jayed Khan' gets angry if he is not fed on time. He cannot stand heat, so he always needs a fan blowing on him, or he goes wild. He has to be bathed twice a day to keep his body cool."

The owner spends about Tk 500 a day on the bull's feed and care, and one employee looks after him at all times.

Local resident Nurul Alam told Jago News that many people are coming to see the bull named "Jayed Khan". "He walks beautifully. He is quite short-tempered too," he said.

Zorarganj Union Parishad Chairman Rezaul Karim Master said: "Nirob Agro in my union has been fattening cattle for several years, and this year too it has prepared cattle. I have heard there is a big bull on the farm priced at Tk 12 lakh, and that whoever buys it will be given a goat free."

Upazila Livestock Officer Dr Jakirul Farid said farmers and marginal growers have prepared 50,739 animals this year: 22,413 bulls and bullocks, 14,152 cows, 4,611 buffaloes and 9,563 goats and sheep. After meeting the upazila's demand they will be sold in neighbouring upazilas and at markets in Chattogram city.
