Sacrificial animal markets are getting busier ahead of Eid-ul-Azha, and at the Bortakia market in Mirsarai upazila of Chattogram, a huge Friesian bull named 'Kalo Pahar' has caught everyone's eye.

Farmer Abul Kashem, 50, brought the bull to the Bortakia market to sell on 23 May. He is asking Tk 7 lakh for the 20-maund animal.

By 7.30pm, buyers had offered at most Tk 4.5 lakh, and without getting the price he wanted, he did not let go of the bull's rope.

The bull has become the centre of attention for buyers and visitors at the market. Some ask its price, while others take photos and videos.

Seller Abul Kashem said: "I raised the bull with great care. I did not use any harmful pesticide. I raised it on natural feed, including fresh and dry straw, bran and oil cake. I hope I can sell it at a good price. The bull will weigh 20 maunds."
