Officials of the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock will supervise the work of veterinary medical teams and other activities at sacrificial animal markets in Dhaka. Nine deputy secretary-level officials of the ministry have been given the responsibility.

The ministry issued an office order to this effect on Sunday, 25 June.

The order says veterinary medical services will be provided at the cattle markets under the Dhaka North and Dhaka South city corporations. For this, the ministry's Department of Livestock Services has formed a central coordination team, five monitoring teams, 22 veterinary medical teams and two specialist veterinary medical teams, which began work on 26 June.
