A young man named Mithun Chandra, 30, has died of a snakebite in Lalpur, Natore.

The incident happened on the morning of 25 September in Hashimpur village of Arbab union in the upazila. Mithun Chandra was the son of Satyen Chandra of the same village.

Local people said a venomous snake suddenly bit him in the morning while he was pulling straw from a haystack beside his home. Relatives quickly took him towards Lalpur Upazila Health Complex, but he died on the way.

Confirming the death, Arbab Union Parishad chairman Mokhlesur Rahman said it was a sad incident.
