Two employees of Palli Bidyut, the rural electricity service, have been detained with eight kilograms of deer meat in a joint operation by the Forest Department and the Coast Guard in Koyra upazila of Khulna.
They were detained around midday on 7 October in front of the Gharilal Bazar community clinic in Dakshin Bedkashi union of the upazila.
The detained men are Suryakanta Das and Palash Kumar Das of Kshudrachakshri village in Bagerhat Sadar upazila. Along with the eight kilograms of deer meat, a motorcycle used for Palli Bidyut's official work was seized from them.
Confirming the matter, Mobarak Hossain, station officer of Kobadak Forest Station, said preparations were under way to file a case over the incident.
