The jhapan game, a traditional and popular form of entertainment in rural Bengal, was held in Chuadanga. It took place on Saturday (October 25) from 9am to 2.30pm at the Police Line Para field in the town. It was organised by Ward 1 BNP of Chuadanga municipality.

The opening ceremony that morning was chaired by Abdul Karim, president of Ward 1 BNP of Chuadanga municipality. Sirajul Islam Moni, president of Chuadanga municipal BNP, attended as chief guest and opened the game.

Hafizur Rahman Happy, joint general secretary of Chuadanga Sadar upazila Jubo Dal, was present as special guest.

Members of the jhapan organising committee, including Selim, Maruf, Suruj, Sumon, Shahin, Shariful and Imdadul, and local dignitaries were also present.

Five teams from different areas took part in the day-long event, and hundreds of spectators gathered to watch. Held in a festive atmosphere, the jhapan game once again recalled the rural heritage.
