The railway has arranged to carry sacrificial animals from Chapainawabganj to Dhaka at low cost ahead of Eid-ul-Azha. However, it said no separate "Cattle Special Train" will run this time; the animals will be carried in separate wagons of the Mango Special train.

Chapainawabganj railway station master Md Obaidullah confirmed this to Jagonews24 on the evening of Friday, 23 June.

He said that for the third time, based on demand from farmers and traders, sacrificial animals will be sent to Dhaka in separate wagons of the Mango Special on the Rohanpur-Dhaka route. The train will leave Rohanpur railway station at 4pm and, after picking up animals at Chapainawabganj station and six other stations on the way, will reach Tejgaon in Dhaka late at night.

Each wagon can carry 20 cattle. The fare for one wagon from Chapainawabganj, Kakonhat and Rajshahi will be Tk 11,830, and the fare for carrying one cow from these stations has been set at Tk 592.

Sacrificial animals can be carried on the mango train from Saturday, 24 June, for three days in a row, until 26 June.

The train will first leave Rohanpur railway station at 4pm with sacrificial animals and mangoes. It will leave Chapainawabganj railway station at 6pm, Kakonhat at 6.40pm, Baral Bridge at 9.25pm, Ullapara railway station in Sirajganj at 10pm and Bangabandhu Bridge (East) at 10.40pm with cattle, bound for Tejgaon. It will stop at Joydebpur and Dhaka Airport railway stations on the way to book mangoes, and will reach Tejgaon at 1.15am.
