The Bukhainagar river flows past Laharhat in Barishal Sadar upazila. Every morning local farmers and cattle keepers take their herds across to graze on a char that has risen on the far bank.
In the afternoon, after a day on the char grass, it is time to go home. The cattle swim back against the current while their owners guide them from boats: a picture of the char, the river and a farming day.
