LivestockSouth Africa still has 1,501 open foot-and-mouth outbreaks, government report shows
The Department of Agriculture's report to 30 September lists 2,871 FMD outbreaks, with SAT1 and SAT2 strains active in all nine provinces and the Eastern Cape and KwaZulu-Natal holding half the unresolved cases.
