Sirajganj's 'pituli' meat: beef cooked with rice flour at village feasts for generations

At mezbani feasts in Sirajganj Sadar and Kazipur, beef or buffalo meat is cooked overnight with fresh, damp aromatic rice flour pounded in a dheki; from dawn prayers onwards the whole village is served rice, pituli meat and buttermilk.
