LivestockIrish herds averaging 19.16 kg of milk and 1.62 kg of solids a cow as SCC creeps up
ICBF milk-recording data for 8–18 September show 1,128 herds and 123,544 cows recorded, with an average yield of 19.16 kg at 4.61 per cent fat and 3.86 per cent protein and a somatic cell count of 187,000 cells/ml that has been rising for weeks.
