AgrotechSoil hydrogel adds up to 19 bushels an acre to soybeans in Illinois trials
A granular hydrogel called InteliGel, placed under the seed to soak up water in wet spells and release it in dry ones, raised soybean yields by 19.2 bushels an acre in a dry 2024 season and about 9 in a wet 2025 at Precision Planting's research farm, though it will not be sold before 2028.
