FisheriesTk 47.55 crore plan to raise fish output in 29 oxbow lakes across four districts
The fisheries department has drawn up a five-year project for 29 baors (oxbow lakes) in Jashore, Jhenaidah, Chuadanga and Kushtia: excavation, fish sanctuaries, fry production and community management. The proposal is awaiting appraisal at the Planning Commission.
